To <I>post</I> articles to newsgroups, you'll need a full-featured news program. <P><B>To configure Mosaic to access newsgroups:</B> <OL> <P><LI>From the Edit menu, choose Preferences. <P><LI>In the News Server field, enter the domain name of the news server to which you subscribe. <P><LI>Choose the OK button. </OL> <P><B>To read newsgroups:</B> <UL> <P><LI>To list the available newsgroups, type <A HREF="news:*">news:*</A> in the URL field. An alphabetical list of newsgroups with brief descriptions is displayed. Click on a newsgroup name to list the articles in that newsgroup. <P><LI>To access a particular newsgroup, enter a news URL of the form <I>news:group</I>. For example <A HREF="news:news.announce.newusers">news:news.announce.newusers</A>. <P><I>Note</I> - Unlike other URLs, news URLs do not include slashes (//) after the colon. <P><LI>When you first access a newsgroup, the subject lines of the first 20 articles are listed. Click a subject line to display the full article. If an article is related to other messages, links to the related articles are provided. <P><LI>To specify the range of articles to list, type the URL of the newsgroup, followed by a slash and the range of articles.
