  4. AppWizard has created this MIME application for you. This application
  5. not only demonstrates the basics of using the Microsoft Foundation classes
  6. but is also a starting point for writing your application.
  7. This file contains a summary of what you will find in each of the files that
  8. make up your MIME application.
  9. MIME.MAK
  10. This project file is compatible with the Visual C++ development
  11. environment.
  12. It is also compatible with the NMAKE program provided with Visual C++.
  13. To build a debug version of the program from the MS-DOS prompt, type
  14. nmake /f MIME.MAK CFG="Win32 Debug"
  15. or to build a release version of the program, type
  16. nmake /f MIME.MAK CFG="Win32 Release"
  17. MIME.H
  18. This is the main header file for the application. It includes other
  19. project specific headers (including RESOURCE.H) and declares the
  20. CMimeApp application class.
  21. MIME.CPP
  22. This is the main application source file that contains the application
  23. class CMimeApp.
  24. MIME.RC
  25. This is a listing of all of the Microsoft Windows resources that the
  26. program uses. It includes the icons, bitmaps, and cursors that are stored
  27. in the RES subdirectory. This file can be directly edited in the
  28. Visual C++ development environment.
  29. RES\MIME.ICO
  30. This is an icon file, which is used as the application's icon. This
  31. icon is included by the main resource file MIME.RC.
  32. RES\MIME.RC2
  33. This file contains resources that are not edited by the Visual C++
  34. development environment. You should place all resources not
  35. editable by the resource editor in this file.
  36. MIME.CLW
  37. This file contains information used by ClassWizard to edit existing
  38. classes or add new classes. ClassWizard also uses this file to store
  39. information needed to create and edit message maps and dialog data
  40. maps and to create prototype member functions.

  42. For the main frame window:
  43. mainfrm.H, mainfrm.CPP
  44. These files contain the frame class CMainFrame, which is derived from
  45. CFrameWnd and controls all SDI frame features.

  47. AppWizard creates one document type and one view:
  48. mimedoc.H, mimedoc.CPP - the document
  49. These files contain your CMimeDoc class. Edit these files to
  50. add your special document data and to implement file saving and loading
  51. (via CMimeDoc::Serialize).
  52. mimeview.H, mimeview.CPP - the view of the document
  53. These files contain your CMimeView class.
  54. CMimeView objects are used to view CMimeDoc objects.

  56. Other standard files:
  57. STDAFX.H, STDAFX.CPP
  58. These files are used to build a precompiled header (PCH) file
  59. named MIME.PCH and a precompiled types file named STDAFX.OBJ.
  60. RESOURCE.H
  61. This is the standard header file, which defines new resource IDs.
  62. Visual C++ reads and updates this file.
